Let Me Tell You a Story (General Introduction)
Ever been really nervous to write something before? That’s definitely not me at this very moment, oh no.
I’ve been dreading putting this site together for nearly three years now. That’s how long I’ve owned the domain. In that time I’ve had three different friends help me with putting the site together (on Squarespace, WordPress, and then Squarespace again). I’ve also bought equipment for streaming and podcasting, software for tracking my writing more efficiently, a tablet and an Adobe subscription to learn to draw, and something around thirty to forty new RPGs (book or video game) to play, read, and review.
And I’ve done none of it. None.
There is, within me, a creative force that drives so many of my internal and financial decisions. I will willingly lose sleep to slam fingers into the keyboard at a break neck pace, typing thousands of words about an RPG campaign that may never see the light of day or even a single player and will then just let it rot away in my Google Drive for all of eternity. It’s there and it moves me to seek free time to create, to form, so that I can see what I mold being made the way I want it to be. I loved my writing classes in college, and there is literally no activity I enjoy more than a good roleplaying session with friends.
So that’s what this is.
This is going to be a repository of all of the things I create, those fit to share and not quite yet fit to share. If I get off my ass enough to actually make a podcast, you’ll be able to find those episodes here. Should I lean hard into those art lessons or start delving into world building on the regular, this is the library where such an encyclopedia would live. I do a bit of online roleplaying now, and I’ll be explaining a lot of that here, along with what to do that I’ve learned works and what to avoid that I’ve learned shatters immersion.
In summation, this is me. So let me tell you a story.
